Tender chunks of beef are slow-cooked in a rich Guinness ale gravy and wrapped in a light, flaky puff pastry parcel. Comforting and full of flavour, these hearty purses are perfect for a warming family meal or a pub-style dinner at home. Individually portioned and cooked straight from frozen, they’re a convenient and indulgent choice.
Cooking Instructions:
From frozen: place purses on a lightly oiled baking tray and cook in the centre of a preheated oven at 180°C (Gas 4) for approximately 40 minutes, until golden brown and piping hot throughout. A little oil on the tray helps keep the pastry base crisp.
Serving Tips:
Serve with creamy mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables for a homely meal. They are also delicious with chunky chips and peas for a traditional pub favourite, or paired with roasted root vegetables and a jug of onion gravy.
