Known for their vibrant colour and fine texture, they are a favourite in Mediterranean cooking and work beautifully when pan-fried, grilled, or baked. Flash-frozen at peak freshness to preserve taste and quality.
Defrosting Instructions:
Defrost red mullet fillets slowly in the fridge overnight, or place in a sealed bag under cold running water until thawed. Cook within 24 hours of defrosting. Do not refreeze.
Cooking Tips:
Pan-fry in olive oil for 2–3 minutes per side until crisp and just cooked through. Red mullet pairs perfectly with garlic, lemon, and fresh herbs, and is excellent served with roasted vegetables, couscous, or a light Mediterranean salad.
