Description:
Our hake fillets are tender, flaky, and slightly sweeter than cod or haddock, making them a popular alternative for a wide variety of dishes. With a delicate flavour and firm texture, hake works beautifully baked, grilled, or added to traditional fish stews. Flash-frozen at peak freshness to preserve quality.
Defrosting Instructions:
Defrost hake slowly in the fridge overnight, or place in a sealed bag under cold running water until thawed. Cook within 24 hours of defrosting. Do not refreeze.
Cooking Tips:
Bake at 200°C for 12–15 minutes with olive oil, garlic, and herbs. Pan-sear for 2–3 minutes per side until the flesh flakes easily. Hake is excellent in fish stews, curries, or paired with Mediterranean flavours, and serves well with roasted vegetables, rice, or fresh salad.
